I never realized how fast paced my life was until I took a moment to slow down. I have become so accustomed to having things done, or having to do things, immediately and growing greatly frustrated when something isn't instantly available - "the internet is too slow!" "the dryer doesn't work!" "the website is down!" My first few weeks in Athlone, I felt unsettled - almost guilty because I wasn't rushing from work to class to rehearsal to the gym, like I wasn't doing enough to deserve to be in Ireland. But that's just it - this time to relax and reflect is doing more good for myself than I have in a long time.
Maybe it's best, for now, to stop switching the dryer on high speed, and take time to line dry in the breezy fresh air.
Always good to remember to take time in life. :)
